Renovation of our outdoor chapel is complete!
Eagle Scout candidate Scott Dean and his fellow Scouts from Troop 5, MCC’s chartered Boy Scout troop, completed the improvements this summer.
The benches, lectern and cross were replaced with new, pressure-treated wood, solar–powered ground lights were installed to illuminate the cross at night, and planter boxes were added that will enable us to beautify the chapel area with flowers and other plantings.
The work was performed at no cost to MCC, which is typical for an Eagle Scout project. Scott has been fundraising to cover the cost of the building materials, which was around $750. Please consider making a contribution of any amount to help defray this expense.
Any excess funds will be used to maintain the outdoor chapel.
